WHAT DOSHA ARE YOU?
We each have all 3 doshas but in varying degrees. Each of the “types” reveal what tendencies are manifested in our physical and personality traits.

As an integrative health consultant and Ayurvedic practitioner, I believe gradual change is the most sustainable. I see health as a value we can express through our daily choices. My aim is to support your capacity for discernment, so you feel empowered to trust and listen to your body-- as it is more intelligent than we can comprehend.
I have two roles. One is an educational support, encouraging the synthesis of Ayurvedic principles into your lifestyle practices. The other is facilitating a conversation around your health practices, and expanding on your motivations to continuously nurture your nature.
My invitation is to explore yourself and engage your life. My intention is to determine the root cause of what imbalances are present, and offer a systematic intervention to restore proper functioning.
We start with a 20-30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit for each other.
If we want to work together, you will fill out an intake form and email it to fullcircleayurveda@gmail.com
The invitation is a 3-6 month commitment with multiple follow-ups we will organize depending on your needs and circumstances.
A big portion of our working together is educational for corrective and preventative purposes.

Ayurveda is the traditional therapeutic system from India, beautifully blending a refined understanding of cause and effect on the mind and body. It uses practical methods for regulating physiological functioning to support both detoxification and nourishment.
Ayurveda focuses on preventing disease before tissues become damaged, by intervening at early signs of imbalance. Ayurveda’s holistic approach identifies the root causes of imbalance, and strategizes individualized plans for restoring balance.
-
In Ayurveda the doshas are a simple yet vast concept.
In simple terms, the doshas are considered three bio- or body-types responsible for our physiological functions. They are seen as three main forces in the body that govern our physiological, structural, metabolic, even mental/ emotional activities.
The three overarching functions each dosha corresponds to are: vata has to do with all movement/ communication, Pitta is concerned with transformation, and Kapha is responsible for our bodily structures and cohesion in the tissues.
Ayurveda utilizes a five element theory, where each dosha is governing the combination of two elements (ether, air, fire, water, earth).
Everyone has all three doshas, because our optimal functioning depends on them! Yet we have them in different proportions. Your “Ayurvedic constitution” is your individual combination of the doshas which represents your unique blueprint of health.
Ayurveda emphasizes a personalized approach of healthcare because what works for one cannot work for all.

(Ether +Air)
Vata types tend to be sensitive and creative. When balanced they are quite the hype-men — enthusiastically offering their wellspring of energy to any situation. They can start strong and be amazing initiators, but sometimes lose steam and may not have enough energy to complete things. Caring for their sensitive nervous and digestive systems is paramount, so they can sustain the energy to bring their creative ideas to fruition. Vatas tend to run cold, can be spacey or flighty, move around a lot, and can be unpredictable due to the ether + air elements (this space and wind). Imbalances tend to show up as irregular digestion, dry skin, difficulty putting on weight, constipation, anxiety, spasms, tremors, joint pain, nervous system disorders, hyperactivity, etc.
Warm cooked food and nourishing warm oil massage are some of the best antidotes to Vata’s high energy output. Vata does well with more regularity as the “flighty” nature can create erratic or “ungrounded” tendencies.
-
(Fire+Water)
Pitta types tend to have a fiery spark in their bellies and intellect. Sharp witted, funny, courageous, and potentially prone to anger and frustration. Although usually a bit on the competitive side, they make good leaders if they can cultivate patience with others (and themselves). Tend to have strong digestions and appetite— for food and a lust for life! Pitta imbalances tend to show up as inflammation, blood or bleeding disorders, skin issues such as acne or hives, loose stools, anger/ frustration, photophobia, sensitivity to heat, heartburn, acid reflux, allergies, and so on.
Pittas have to be careful not to “burn” themselves out by overworking and pushing themselves (and others) too hard. Eating more cooling and sweet foods (as in grains or sweet potatoes), tend to be a good counterpoint for Pittas. Pittas also need to eat enough because the high heat will eat away tissues if not utilized.
-
(Earth+ Water)
Kapha types tend to have more earth and solidity to them. This can show up as a more calm and steady personality, or more structure and weight in their bodies. They can be slow to get going, but once they do, have a strong endurance. They tend to have thicker bone density, wider frames, big round eyes, and a penchant for sweets! Kaphas have to exercise a little more willpower to stay motivated and moving, as their earthen nature can be stubborn or lazy at times. Kapha imbalances tend to show up as mucus and congestive issues, weight-gain, sluggishness, emotional attachment, stubbornness, slow digestion, growths, and so on.
Kapha-types usually do well with eating more warming and more-spiced foods, to minimize the potential for congestion and stagnation. Again, more movement and exercise are indicated for kapha-types to help with lymphatic and vascular circulation.

The Ayurvedic Sacred Revival Package is where health and healing come full circle. These various Ayurvedic therapies work directly with the body but they have a profound effect on the mind and heart. My aim is to facilitate a deeper connection to yourself in the present moment, where you feel deeply nourished, settled, and awake— even amidst challenges in life. We can lovingly release tension, stress, baggage, and masks so you can just “be.” Experiencing ourselves in these states of “being” is a revival of our sacred “enoughness,” especially when majority of us are (honorably) trying to (and even addicted) to constantly “doing.”
These practices offer an experiential connection to the holistic wisdom, art, and science of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is based on laws of nature which help us to attune to our true nature — otherwise called constitutional health. We can awaken to our blueprint of health and balance by nurturing the senses, coordinating the nervous system, settling the mind, opening the heart, supporting digestion, and encouraging proper elimination.
Compass Package: Initial Health Consult + 4 bodywork days (may be over the course of 1-2 months) + 3 months of lifestyle support$1180
We meet for a full intitial health consult and work closely together for one month. We usually have weekly Ayurvedic bodywork therapies (2 hours) along with personalized gentle cleansing practices if necessary to deepen this Ayurvedic orientation. This option is ideal for someone wanting to really “move the needle” between lifestyle support and sensory work with bodywork modalities. The combination of gentle cleansing, strategic rejuvenation, and somatic integration with hands-on therapies are truly transformative.
If only interested in a day package (without the intital consult, and month long package), we offer a 2.5 hour Ayurvedic bodywork retreat. Please read for more information below.
“Reset” Day Retreat - Day Session : 2.5 hours with meal and tea $280
You would fill out/ email or mail preliminary paperwork first, then have a consultation call so you have proper assessment before the service. There are also pre and post recommendations so your personal ceremony is bookended with transitional intention. This is a beautiful way to “reset” and come back to center.

Change can activate an ambivalent process in most people— part of us wants to change and another is attached to what feels familiar. By clarifying these inconsistencies, we can tailor a plan reflective of your current capacity for change. The exploration of lifestyle change aims to incrementally build confidence in easeful self-reliance.
